o2 Joggler Power Supply Recall

o2 JogglerHere at FileSaveAs, we received an odd call from a chap claiming to be from o2, warning of a problem with our o2 Joggler. The caller was unable to tell me anything about my o2 account, or confirm anything other than my first name. He was after my home address so that a replacement product could be sent out. Being natually cautious about such things, I don’t give out my address to strangers. The caller suggested I check out the o2 site for details of the recall, but I could see nothing there about the problem.

We’ve called o2 Customer Services to investigate, and it seems that this is a genuine recall.

There is a known problem with the power supply that’s supplied with the o2 Joggler that could cause the user to experience a “mild electric shock”, and so the power supplies are being recalled. DHL will courier a replacement (next day), and provide a pre-paid envelope to allow o2 to safely dispose of the faulty power supplies.

We were given a number of 0800 083 7373 for those wishing to contact o2 about the o2 Joggler power supply recall.

It seems that the o2 Joggler has also been pulled from sale from the o2 store today.

I also had a call from O2 this am, I was also suspicious but he told me enough to believe him. I`m getting a whole new joggler, not just power supply. He says they have recalled them because of the electric shock issue and over heating issue. Mine did indeed freeze twice last week and does get very hot. I`m getting my replacement tomorrow (I`m told).

I too had a call this afternoon , I was suspicious as the guy didnt seem very proffesional in his manner , but he reckon a whole new joggler is coming to my work address tommorow , never had a problem with mine , do you reckon I will get away by sending only the power supply back ?? 🙂

Update: On the 8th of July, we got our replacement power supply via DHL.

The new part number is PURA00139 – the old one was PURA00138.

The new plug was supplied with a Freepost jiffy bag to allow the old plug tobe returned and disposed of safely.
