It looks like an agreement has been made between 10 of the leading mobile phone makers to come up with a one-for-all charger. No more scronging an obscure Motorola charger, and a lot less waste. Manufacturers signed up include these scheme Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Apple, Motorola and RIM.
We should start seeing common connectors, based on the micro USB, from next year
