Backing up Phone contacts
Jul 8th, 2010 at 9:56am

Hi I have a S2 Skypephone from 3 with more than 500 contacts on it.  I need to transfer them to the Nokia X6 which I have with T-mobile.

First of all does it matter that I am with 2 different providers with reference to transferring contacts?

I have been bluetoothing over the contacts but it is exhausting my credit on the
3-phone and I will be out of minutes before the month is up.

Is ther e a way of loading them up to my laptop and then moving them to the X6? Or a way by using a memory card that is common to both phones?

Any help is appreciated as I am thick on this.

Phone provider is not relevant for contact transfer.

You should not be getting charged by 3 for anything tranferred over Bluetooth? do you mean wifi?

In the phonebook on the skype phone look for an option to copy the contacts list to the sim card, do this then transfer to the new phone. If this doesnt work then maybe there is some pc software to connect the skype phone to a computer and back up the contacts list to your pc?
