Hi PBR and thankyou kindly for your reply.. much appreciated.
I have already visited SEUS prior to posting my question. Thought it polite to do as much research as possible (incl contacting both company's tech support etc) before posting on this site so as not to waste kind people like yourself's time.
My SonyEricsson (P800) is actually not listed on SEUS prob due to its age. However their follow-up phone, the P900, is on there and i believe they are very close in similarity, so i installed the latest P900 software and applied that to my SonyEricsson P800 without any issue.
re Attaching my P800 to my PC.. no probs, works well.
re BT, my P800 discovers and pairs with my wife's Nokia 7373 no probs and communicates readily and well with the Nokia 7373. In my wife's Nokia 7373, her phone do discover & pair (incl exchanging same password to establish the BT link) with my P800, allowing me to send files to her 7373 from me via BT no probs. However, her 7373 is unable to send me BT files in turn.
From reading thru both companies websites, extensive online searches etc etc, my feeling is that our respective BT versions aren't same, which is causing the problem (?).
I have a feeling that the Nokia 7373 BT version is prob the latest and cant respond to my P800 cause the 7373 is looking for a later verion of BT on my P800? But then why would my P800 communicate & send files via BT to her 7373, but she cant send back? Even though both our phones are visible to each other in our respective BT sections (although crucially, my P800 is not showing up in her 7373's "BT Active Devices" menu, but is showing in her "BT Paired Devices" menu).
Confusingly Yours
