My p910a cant connect to the telstra network

Does anyone know why the p910a doesnt connect to the Australian telstra nextwork??? I slip the pay as you go sim card inside the phone and turn it on and i can use all the applications but i cant make any phone calls....it says that "network: searching" GPRS unavailable...I have Telstra Mobile on my gsm preffered list at no. 1 but nothing. Now i put that same sim card into a nokia and it works fine. My p910a was from the U.K. and I used it in canada...now it wont work...please help me!!!!! Also when i use my cradle to to the update service..it says that it cant connect???

I went into settings and changed it to automatic and it worked. I think thats worth a try for you. Good luck mate.
