Use of BT Home Hub not with 'Total Broadband'
Dec 4th, 2006 at 1:19pm

I have aquired a BT Home Hub as a substitute for the voyager 105 (wanting ethernet connection and wireless network). I have a BT ADSL line with a Broadband contract but not 'Total Broadband' As the Hub is setup with the username of bthomehub@btbroadband.com I cannot access my correct username. Can this default username be edited and how? Or does the hub need 'unlocking' to use on anything other than BT Total Broadband? Thanks for any advice

You havent stated who your ISP is. I think you can use the BT home hub on BT Click but not on any other (non-BT )
ISP. AFAIK, the builtin firware locks it to be used only on BT's network.

If you do manage to get this working on a non BT network please post the solution.

BT is my ISP but through a business contract. I have changed the username in the BT Home Hub from the default bthomehub@btbroadband.com to my current username but the system responds 'not validated' so I currently conclude that the BT Home Hub will only work with the Total Broadband service and not other BT Broadband services. I would like to find a way for it to be recognised but have run out of ideas.
